Mangia! A Taste of Napa Delivered

Clif Family’s idea of creating a food subscription box envisioned something more than just stuff in a box—they wanted Mangia! to embody the spirit of their Napa Valley roots. The ask was clear: design a brand system that radiates freshness, sustainability, and the adventurous ethos of California, while staying true to their commitment to organic ingredients and small-batch craftsmanship.

Through collaborative strategy workshops between Clif Family and Noise 13, we explored the brand’s values, goals, and aspirations. These discovery sessions uncovered the core elements needed to bring Mangia! to life. From there, we developed a vibrant color palette, playful illustrations, the now-iconic farmer “bee” delivering farm-fresh flavors by bicycle, and the Mmmmmmmmm Mangia! tagline. Every design choice reflected Clif Family’s ethos, while sustainable materials and carbon-neutral printing ensured the packaging aligned with their environmental commitments.

Mangia! wasn’t just a success; it sparked a full-scale reimagination of Clif Family’s brand. The subscription box evolved into a comprehensive partnership, inspiring a redesign of their entire packaging system, updated photography, and a new digital shopping experience. From retail shelves to online storefronts, Mangia! set the standard for a vibrant, cohesive expression of Clif Family’s adventurous and sustainable spirit.
