Hello there! I’m Shannon, the Fall 2021 Design Intern at Noise 13.
I’m currently a Senior in the Portland State Graphic Design program in the lush and rainy Pacific Northwest. I grew up in San Diego but was looking for a change of scenery when I moved up to Oregon for college, where I quickly had to adjust to the no-umbrella lifestyle of Downtown Portlanders. I am constantly road tripping back home with my husky, Blue, and I always make a pit stop in beautiful San Francisco!
I come from a fine arts background, painting murals all throughout high school, which has cultivated a deep love for creative world-building. I have been an illustrator since I could hold a pencil, but in recent years I discovered the world of brand identity. Suddenly my passion has a new and expanded voice!
I am so excited for the opportunity to learn from such skilled and passionate designers and to further my creative growth in any way I can. In the few days I’ve been at Noise, the team has welcomed me with open arms and given me the freedom to be curious through endless encouragement and support. I am beyond grateful to be here and see where the opportunity leads.
When I’m not designing, you can find me out hiking in the Portland forests, hanging out at the dog park, or doodling away at the Rose Garden. Let me know of your favorite local Portland coffee spots at shannon@noise13.com!
