Darlings of the craft cocktail movement, St. George Spirits boasts an impressive following from both professional and DIY mixologists across the Bay Area and beyond. For 30 years, they’ve demonstrated not only a unique approach to their craft, but maintained a cheeky, witty sense of character that shows through in their packaging, language, and distillery space. However, their outdated website did not match the brand’s distinctive personality, so they came to Noise in the Fall of 2012 looking for a full redesign.
Heavily inspired by the interior aesthetic and details of the distillery itself (an old airplane hangar right on the Alameda waterfront), we created a quirky, textural, one-of-a-kind online presence for St. George. Distressed type, aged paper and tape, and vintage drawings and diagrams reflect the brand’s character; coupled with more robust content, the site now provides an immersive and engaging experience for the user. Highlights include a user-submitted “library” of cocktail recipes, as well as a spirits locator that narrows down various criteria to find your favorite St. George spirit
