Chef Joshua Skenes, along with business partner and sommelier Mark Bright, launched Saison just three years ago as a Sundays-only pop-up in the Mission District of San Francisco. Since then, they’ve expanded operations and earned an impressive two Michelin stars.
At Saison, the most important kitchen tool is the oldest of all: fire. Skenes, named one of America’s best new chefs by Food & Wine magazine, calls it “the heart of the restaurant.”
With a new interior space on the horizon, Skenes came to Noise in need of an accompanying refresh to Saison’s visual identity. After several months of collaboration and explorations gourmandes, tackling multiple deliverables from restaurant collateral to a completely new website, we introduced a simple, almost ethereal new identity that we hope emphasizes and enhances the grace of Skenes’s cuisine.
