Why You Hire Us

“…designers get paid to negotiate the difficult terrain of individual egos, expectations, tastes, and aspirations of various individuals in an organization or corporation, against business needs, and constraints of the marketplace.”

My new neighborhood

There’s something I’ve been thinking about since I’ve moved to San Francisco from San Diego about two weeks ago. I lived in San Diego my entire life, bright and sunny is all I’ve known, and designing for San Diego businesses has given my work a somewhat [...]

Alvin Lustig

A Kind Company (New York) has recently put up an educational site dedicated to the works of Alvin Lustig (www.alvinlustig.org), a Modern American Designer. Lustig (1915 – 1955) was a true Renaissance man in the world of Design, working on everything from his typographically-driven book jackets, to Furniture Design and Architecture.

Marian Bantjes

Last night I had the great fortune to see designer, typographer, and artist Marian Bantjes speak as part of the AIGA design lecture series. You may have recently seen some of her work as part of the Want It ad campaign at Saks Fifth Avenue. Her type design usually involves intricate ornamentation drawn with stunning [...]
