Gallery Shops

Places of inspiration I often gravitate towards are the smaller design+art gallery shops that are tucked into different parts of the city. Last night The Curiosity Shop opened on Valencia Street. This shop provides a combination of visual stimulation - design literature, rare industrial design, local artist’s work - creating a truly unique space. Currently on display is bat-inspired art by Shawn Creeden. They are also presenting a live bat presentation on Sunday (10/7).

Another great gallery shop is Park Life, on Clement Street. Currently on display is Weathered Worlds, a group show featuring the work of Kyle Lee, Marina Luz, Hilary Pecis, and Zach Rossman.

The shops are interesting to peruse, and afterwards I find myself inspired to do projects that are both thoughtful and beautiful.
